Central Mission In partnership with parents, and guided by the Gospel, we seek to educate and disciple children, so that they may grow in knowledge, wisdom, and love. We offer a unique hybrid educational model that employs proven educational practices. Equal to and alongside academic excellence, we seek to intentionally create a vibrant Christian community, rich in meaningful relationships between Unitas students, families, teachers, staff, and community members; one that reaches beyond barriers while serving its purpose as a vital unit of the Body of Christ.
Central Tenets... Academic excellence and virtue formation are achieved by balancing a vigorous Latin-centered, traditional education with experiences that lead children to the Good, the True, and the Beautiful.
Parents know their children and have special, God-given insight into their child. Teachers also get to know each child as they spend their days (and eventually years) with them. A partnership between parents and teachers serves the child best. Through thoughtful and frequent communication, this parent-teacher team can help lead the child into discovering their calling. Children are discipled, mentored, and celebrated. Childhood is cherished and imaginations are allowed to soar. Gifts and talents are encouraged to be explored. Failures and mistakes are embraced and treated as opportunities to learn.
Every proven education approach has strong elements that should be considered in order to find what's best for each child. Creating individualized and varied learning opportunities will lead to future leaders in the world's economy and society who enjoy life, learning, and serving others.
Finding your role in a community, leading, and being led with grace, mercy, and deep conviction of purpose is far more important than simply knowing facts.
We believe kids can do great things now. Kids must play a prominent role in their education.
